A grimace crossed his face and he rubbed at the scar across his throat. Actually, no they wouldn’t. If the beast came out, he would shift forms and the Sprite was way too small to take it. He’d be crushed in the small space and probably take the ship apart in the process.

The threat of imminent death had a marked effect on control or the lack of it. It definitely strengthened the need to keep his other form safely contained within.

Nat sighed and turned over in her sleep, her dark hair a beautiful fan over his pillows. The image of it wrapped around his fist as he… he cut the thought off abruptly. Even though his body raged at him to claim her as his own, he wouldn’t force himself on any female, much less an unconscious one. Oh no, when he took her for the first time, and he would claim her, it would be when she was wide awake. More than that, she’d be soft and pliant in his arms, begging him to take her…

With a cough, he broke himself out of the fantasy before his cock could tear the front of his pants and tried to think the most unsexy thoughts he could as he left his room and headed down the corridor. T1s were housed in the same block but not close together, so he passed empty cells as he walked in the direction of Rish’s cell.

Even before he stepped through the door, he pulled up, smelling sex on the air. Before he could withdraw, Rish walked out from the bedroom with a sarong wrapped around his waist. His face split into a broad smile as he spotted Beauty.

“Talon! Come in!” he called out, waving him in.

Beauty frowned and ventured a couple of steps in. “Are you sure? I’m not… interrupting anything. Am I?” he asked, motioning vaguely toward the bedroom.

Trying not to be obvious about it, he checked the Xian’s skin for silver streaks that might indicate an oncoming rut. If the mating fever was on his friend, it wouldn’t be safe for any male to be near him. Or, more accurately, anywhere near the female Beauty could smell in the bedroom.
